ABOUT THE IDEAL WWOOF-er

The idea wwoofer is…

Willing to take on a project on their own for several hours and enjoy the calm and quiet that physical work can bring

Enjoys being in the country

Is comfortable with themselves

Maintains a sense of humor when things fall apart-(as they can)

Looks, listens and is willing to take the initiative once they understand the goals of the Farm

Realizes that the hosts can need some private time

Recognizes that there are times when you will work 90 miles an hour and other times to kick back and enjoy the sunset

Can get in touch with the fact that hosts can get exhausted, need rest and are actually human with the accompanying failings

Is careful to close gates, put tools away and just in general be careful of the Farm.

Help be watchful of things that cost dollars, such as Electricity and water.

Reaches for understanding of the Farm goals and Vision, and sees themselves as a part of achieving this-rather than "just the help".

Is willing to communicate if there is an issue-letting their needs be known and respecting the needs of others

Will be willing to help with meals-prep, cleanup and cooking.

Realizes that funds can be tight at times and that we have to "engineer" things at times to work around this!
